100 Day Biz Builder ChallengeI recently decided to take part in a 100 Day Biz Builder Challenge.  This challenge is being spear headed by 2 HUGELY successful marketers, named Adam Chandler and Justice Eagan.

The challenge was created to help new, struggling, and even seasoned marketers with accountability.  It teaches you to take massive action, and encourages you along the way.  If you don’t do the work, they do not come after you or anything, but they will tell you not to expect results.  To sum up some of the main points of the challenge, here are some of the main things the challenge will address:

  • Committing to being here 100 days from start date
  • Committing to learning new skills
  • Committing to the process
  • Committing to doing what I said I would do long after the mood I said it in wears off
  • Making the decision to start playing big
  • Deciding to push myself harder than ever before

All of these things sound great.  The thing is, you HAVE to do it…  Every day!  Taking massive action that can help your business grow requires the utmost dedication.  Deciding you want to play big one day, then taking a few days off because you don’t feel like doing the work just won’t cut it.  And that is not what the big dawgs do, so if you want results like that you need to put your head down and make it happen.

One of my favorite quotes is from a man named Ray Higdon, a massively successful network and online marketer. It goes like this:

“Don’t look at what you think you know, look at your results”.

Isn’t that spot on?  In the past, I have been guilty of this.  I sat there wondering why I wasn’t making the money I thought I should be.  I did not make adjustments, I just kept doing what was not working for me.  Instead of looking at my results, I was looking at what I thought I knew and I was getting nowhere in the meantime.

Other Things the 100 Day Biz Builder Challenge Has Taught Me So Far

Prior to hopping on the first webinar for us challenge participants, I had never heard the words Active Marketing and Passive Marketing.  Let me explain what I think each means:

Active Marketing (Short Term) – Active marketing consists of things like calling leads, following up, starting new conversations, exposing others to your income opportunities, ppc ads, and gathering decisions.  These activities are short term activities that will help you grow your business right now.

Passive Marketing (Long Term) – Passive marketing activities are geared for the long term.  While active marketing strategies can help you make money today, passive marketing strategies can help you make money today and well into the future.  These types of activities are are meant to bring you leads over an extended period of time, and consist of things like:

  • Blogging
  • Video Marketing
  • Article Marketing
  • Website Content

These types of business building activities are meant to help you build your business over the long haul.  If done properly, each one of these types of activities can bring you leads over and over once the leg work has been done.

Other Things I Like About the Challenge

The 100 day biz builder challenge is not just about building your business, it is about becoming a better person.  I know, that may sound odd or hard to believe, but it is true.  One of the first tasks was choosing an area of your life you wished to improve on, and they ranged from things like physical, family, relationships, spiritual, community, and others.

Part of committing to the challenge was picking out at least 1 area you would like to see improvements in and taking actions that can help make them better.  So, if you chose physical, it could mean making a real effort to eat healthier or exercise more and just live an overall healthier life.

I also thought the assignments for week 1 (yes, there is home work :)) were great.  They consist of cleaning your bedroom, car, and work space.  The thought behind this is that clutter and mess in your life can lead to disorganization in your business, and you need to clear the clutter to clear your mind and set the stage for ultimate focus.  That is what I think it means anyway.

Thats a Wrap…

This in essence is what the 100 Day Biz Builder Challenge is all about.  It is not solely about marketing, it is about improving your life.  I love it, and I am jacked up to try and stay with it.  If you want to know my why, look no further than the picture below.  With no words, this will explain in immense detail why I am taking part in the challenge.

My Kids
